Complete ASU Plant Engineering

Air Separation Plants

Cryogenic Air Separation Units engineered for guaranteed, continuous production of gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon.

1.1 Product Description

Global Cryogenic Corporation engineers complete cryogenic Air Separation Units (ASU) for the continuous, high-purity production of oxygen, nitrogen and argon in both gaseous and liquid form. Each plant is built around a low-temperature air distillation process, in which incoming atmospheric air is compressed, purified, cooled to cryogenic temperature and separated into its constituent gases inside insulated distillation columns.

We support the complete plant lifecycle — conceptual and detailed engineering, equipment procurement, installation supervision, commissioning, and long-term operation & maintenance — across plant sizes ranging from small on-site generation skids to large tonnage merchant plants of 300 TPD and above.

1.2 Process Overview

  • Air compression & pre-cooling
  • Purification (molecular sieve adsorption of CO₂ and moisture)
  • Cryogenic heat exchange via brazed aluminium plate-fin exchangers
  • Air expansion (turbine) for refrigeration generation
  • Cryogenic distillation in high & low pressure columns
  • Liquid oxygen, nitrogen & argon draw-off, storage and dispatch

Quick Facts

  • Plant Range: 100 m³/hr – 300+ TPD
  • Products: LOX, LIN, LAR (gas & liquid)
  • Process: Cryogenic Distillation
  • Standards: European & US Design Codes
